Thanksgiving is close, so I made a list of bookish things I'm thankful for.
I think it's very important to realize what privileges you have and be thankful for them. Here is a list of ten reading/book-related things I am thankful for this year!
1. My Readers:
No matter whether you comment, just read, or just stop by - thank you.
2. The Book Blogging Community:
This community is so nice and loving, I'm very grateful that I decided to come over from tumblr and join this community. You guys are great.
3. My favorite authors:
David Levithan, Jodi Picoult, Sophie Kinsella L.J. Smith, S.G. Browne - I wouldn't be blogging without them.
4. Having the courage to blog:
I wanted to have a blog since I was 11. I never knew what to blog about and was too scared to start one. I'm proud of doing it now.
5. All writers:
Published or unpublished, well-known or lesser known. Never stop writing.
6. Books being turned into movies:
There's nothing greater than seeing your beloved characters on the big screen! I love all book adaptations, no matter how good or bad.
7. Sophie Kinsella's books:
They're guarateed to get me out of every reading slump. For me, she's the queen of chick-lit and I am very, very glad that I decided to pick up my first book by her, Remember Me?, a couple of years ago. She's definitely my go-to author and I hope she never stops writing.
8. Review copies:
It's certainly a big privilege to be asked to review books and I'm very thankful for that. I discovered many great authors this way that I would have never found otherwise!
9. Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead:
Probably the first and last series that sent me into the world's worst reading slump of all time. I love the vampire academy world, and I read the first five within two weeks. I'm still dreading to read the last one because I don't want it all to end. I'm so thankful that I started this series. That it exists, even.
10. My favorite blogs
You guys are all great and have wonderful blogs! Never stop blogging!!
