10 Most Anticipated Second Half of 2016 YA Releases | Top Ten Tuesday

There are still so many great books to come this year, and it was hard, but I managed to put together a list of the ten books I'd probably cut off my right arm to get an early copy of.

THIS SAVAGE SONG by Victoria Schwab | Release: July 5th
I've been really curious about her since reading  A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC. I really want to try out her other books.

THE SMALLER EVIL by Stephanie Kuehn | Release: August 2nd
m/m romance, mysteries, memory loss - hell yeah!

NEVERNIGHT by Jay Kristoff | Release: August 9th
Super high expectations! I can't believe I haven't read anything by him yet, but this sounds incredible and just perfect as my first read from him!

I'M NOT YOUR MANIC PIXIE DREAM GIRL by Gretchen McNeil | Release: September 13th
A girl uses math to become just like her crush's stereotypical dream girl. Yes. Please ridicule this trope, I am so ready for this.

THREE DARK CROWNS (#1) by Kendare Blake | Release: September 20th
Three sisters competing for the throne. Fingers crossed one of them is evil. I need.

STRANGE THE DREAMER (#1) by Laini Taylor | Release: September 27th
I'm trash for Laini Taylor's writing.

A MILLION WORLDS WITH YOU (Firebird #3) by Claudia Gray | Release: November 1st
The Firebird series is one of my favorite series of all time. I feel dead inside thinking about the release date.

HEARTLESS by Marissa Meyer | Release: November 8th
I am so weak when it comes to villain stories. I have to read this. I'm adamantly against fairytale retellings, but the queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland? Come on.

JESS, CHUNK, AND THE ROADTRIP TO INFINITY by Kristin E. Clark | Release: November 8th
I usually don't care much for roadtrip stories, but the thing that makes this stand out is the trans protagonist. I really want to read this.

SCYTHE by Neal Shusterman | Release: November 22nd

A story about reapers! God bless! And Shusterman means it's gonna be weird. I'm looking forward to this.

Which books are you most looking forward to?

Most Anticipated New Releases of 2016 | Top Ten Tuesday

Here are my Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases for 2016! Can't believe the year is about to end.

10. FIRSTLIFE – Gene Showalter: Life after death has always fascinated me, I can’t wait.
9. STARFLIGHT – Melissa Landers: I feel like everyone in the blogosphere has either already read this or heard of it. I need it, I’m a sucker for everything space.
8. HEARTLESS – Marissa Meyer: I haven’t read her Lunar Chronicles, but since she’s coming out with a new fairytale-ish retelling next year, I’m going to hop on the band waggon!

7. THE GIRL FROM EVERYWHERE – Heidi Heilig: I just love everything time travel and this sounds like it might teach me a lot about different cultures. I’m ready!
6. PASSENGER – Alexandra Bracken: Pirates. I’m not passing up a pirate read, come on.
5. RIDERS – Veronica Rossi: The minute this was announced, I was ready. I love the riders of the apocalypse and every single fictionalized version of them. Gimme.

4. GLITTERING COURT – Richelle Mead: I’m about to finish the Vampire Academy series. I have no clue was this is about, but my girl Richelle wrote this. She could write two sentences on a piece of paper in kajal and I’d still buy it.
3. HEIR TO THE SKY – Amanda Sun: The synopsis made me laugh. Apparently, in this one someone falls off the edge of the world. I don’t even need to know more, this got me hooked. Oh my god.
2. WINK POPPY MIDNIGHT – April Genevieve Tucholke: Unreliable narrators and magical realism: How to hook me 101.

1. THE LAST BEGINNING – Lauren James:

Good news, I will be shutting up about James’ debut THE NEXT TOGETHER soon, because the sequel is about to be published! If you love time travel and strange internet humor, I strongly suggest this brilliant read! Okay, but the sequel has a lesbian couple as protagonists (if I’m not mistaken) and I think I was born ready for this.
(no this is not the final cover, it was the only edit I could find so I wasn't forced to make a godawful one myself in paint.

Expected publication: November 2016 by Walker Books
